Biking Trip from Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains 8Days/7Nights

 

Mountain bike vacations in Morocco are increasingly popular, Morocco offers for it’s visitors diverse and scenic mountain terrain, and an extensive network of trails. It’s ideal for an adventurous mountain bike tour, Plus during your trip you will have opportunities for intensive interaction with the Berber culture.

    • Day 3: Anamrou - Ait Zutoune - Amizmiz (25 miles/40km)

    • Day 5: Ouirgane - Imlil (22 miles/35 km)
    • Day 6: Imlil - Imsker - Tansegharte (20 miles/32 km)
    • Day 7: Tansegharte – Ourika Valley - Marrakech (22 miles/35 km)
    • Day 8: Marrakech- Airport

  • Pre-Trek Briefing:

    Explore Morocco Mountains, Berber villages and experience some of the fantastic places around Morocco by bike experience an ancient and fascinating country side of Morocco with it’s culture.

    Day 1: Arrive to Marrakech

    We will peak you up from airport then transfer to your stay in Marrakech, Hotel / Riad, if you are already in Marrakech we will come to see you and to discouss about our trip: The Mountains Bike Tour will start from Marrakech around 08:30am by our 4×4.

    Day 2: Marrakech - Anamrou (19miles/30 km)

    Transfer from Marrakech , qucik check of your bikes and start biking to Anamrou

    Day 3: Anamrou - Ait Zutoune - Amizmiz (25 miles/40km)

    After breakfast, we’llstart the second mountain bike stage. We’ll go through the village of Anemi, crossing the Tizi N’fournapass (2,205m) and go down hill through some small villages: Infagen – Igourdan – Angal – Ait Hamed – Tafgart – Tizgui – Ameghras until reaching Ait Ziteune village (1,010m). Time for lunch on the way. Dinner and accommodation in a Berber family house. Overnight in Ait Zitoune.

    Day 4: Ait Zitoune - Ouirgane (28 miles/45 km)


    After breakfast, we start this trip. We’ll go across the following Berber villages: Tograman – Tiferwin – Wizilen – Agdour n’kik. We arrive at the Kik Plateau – Tiziwado (1,710m) where you’ll have accommodation. Dinner and accommodation in a Berber family house. Overnight in Ouirgane.

    Day 5: Ouirgane - Imlil (22 miles/35 km)

    Fifth stage of the route. After breakfast, we’ll ride crossing the villages of Marigha, Tinzerte and Tagadert N’Ait Ali where you’ll have lunch. Afterwards, we’ll go up to the valley Ait Mizan, going through the famous small Mountain village of Imlil (1,745m) and we’ll continue going up until we reach Armed (2,000m). Dinner and accommodation . Overnight in Imlil

    Day 6: Imlil - Imsker - Tansegharte (20 miles/32 km)

    Sixth trip of the mountain bike route. We’ll have breakfast and continue our route. We’ll go acrossImlil, Ait Suka and Tamatert arriving at the Tizi n’Tamatert pass (2,300m). Then, we’ll go down through the valley of Iminen finding more Berber villages: Tachdert, Ouanskra, Tamgist, Ikiss and Amsakrou. Dinner in the village of Arg. Then you’ll go on to the village of Imsker. Dinner and accommodation in a Berber family house in Tansghart (1,300m). Overnight in Tansegharte

    Day 7: Tansegharte – Ourika Valley - Marrakech (22 miles/35 km)

    Seven day riding a mountain bike. Breakfast and start a new stage goin gup hill. We’ll go through berber villages and then continue across the mountains until the valley of Sidi Faress and descend the Ourika valley. 35 km day’s journey, than transfer to Marrakech, Spend night at Hotel or Riad. Overnight in Marrakech.

    Day 8: Marrakech - Airport

    • English, French speaking Berber tour leader
    • 4×4 Assistance on the whole MTB trip.
    • Camping material except sleeping bags
