Day Trip to the Atlas Mountains - 1 Day

Pre-Trek Briefing:
Those markets gets very busy as any other weekly market; lots of local people come from the nearby valleys & high mountains to buy their needs for the following week, and it is usually the chance to meet friends and relatives and have a chat! Other people come to sell their products there!
Day 1: Marrakech – Agafay Camel Ride – Kik Plateau - Asni – Imlil Valley & Villages 1740m – Marrakech

If you choose to start on Tuesday, then will be collected up you from the hotel in Marrakech at 10 a.m. and driven to the Atlas Mountains, specifically the town of Tahnaout, which is around 34 kilometers from Marrakech. It will take approximately 30 minutes to drive! When you arrive in Tahnaout, you will be accompanied on a guided tour of this extremely traditional market, which is celebrated once a week. This market is very popular; many locals came from neighboring valleys and high mountains to buy their weekly essentials, and it is generally a time to catch up with friends and relatives! Other folks arrive to sell their wares! 

If you choose to start on Saturday, you will be picked up at your hotel in Marrakech at 9 a.m. and driven to the Atlas Mountains, specifically the Asni village, which is around 48 kilometers from Marrakech. It will take approximately 1 hour to drive! When you arrive to Asni, you will be taken on a guided tour of this extremely traditional market, which is celebrated once a week too. This market is as bustling as any other weekly market; many locals travel from adjacent valleys and high mountains to stock up on supplies for the next week!
Following the market tour, you will continue driving to Imlil valley, where you will have lunch at a homestay before embarking on a brief guided walk around some Berber communities; the trek will take approximately 1:30 hours. You will then be picked up and transported back to Marrakech. If your hotel is reachable by car, we will drop you off over there.
