Zagora Desert Overnight Stay - 2 Days

On the border of Morocco the desert inhabited by the tribes of the Ait Atta du Sahara. It contains the first oasis reached from Timbuktu after sixty days of camel caravan. An area where escorts were needed to pass the Touaregs and warrior Berbers. Our trek goes to the huge sand dunes of the L'oued Drâa, an environment which contains memories of the centuries of human endurance needed to cross this link between South and North. Experience the immense solitude of the desert, and see the incredible clarity of the stars and constellations which light up the nights
It is a spectacular and dramatic road that presents astonishing views of the snow topped peaks of the Atlas and Berber villages. Then eventually we will descend into Ouarzazate, where we might stop for tasty lunch. From there, we will head across the barren mountains to Zagora. As we descend into Agdz, the first date palm trees of the Draa Valley will appear before us. We will be viewing one of the longest stretches of this valley, know all throughout Morocco for its sweet dates. Then later in our day we will arrive to Zagora, where we saddle our camels and trek for about 1 hour in the region.
